 The Sackville and District Assistance Centre was founded in 1986 by Lorne Bell, Fran Smith and Marilyn Trenholme Counsell.  It has been located in the same building for over 36 years, serving people experiencing food insecurity.

The mission of the Sackville Food Bank is to serve people experiencing food insecurity and improve the well-being of the greater Sackville community through the distribution of healthy food, education and advocacy.
