Community Food Bank

The Sackville Food Bank is located at 9B Willow Lane. Food distribution takes place on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. Registered clients may pick up food every two weeks. 

Initially funded by a generous grant from the Brewer Foundation, Food for Thought has been in operation since 2019. It makes lunches for hungry kids at all three schools in Sackville.  Based on the premise that a child cannot concentrate on learning when he/she is hungry, the program provides healthy lunches and snacks. 

 Our aim is to help students provide meals and snacks for themselves. A young person who is fearful that there may not be another meal in their immediate future or who is actually hungry would find it difficult to focus on their studies. This is a joint project with Tantramar Regional High School and the Sackville & District Assistance Center.
